Joseph A. Levato

Managing Partner

Prior to establishing Essential Fund Services International, LLC (“EFSI”), Mr. Levato spent 7 years with Advanced Fund Administration where he served as Director and Head of North America Operations & Chief Financial Officer, responsible for establishing and building out AFA’s United States fund administration operation. In addition to his former Operational and Financial roles at AFA, Mr. Levato oversaw and directed the firm’s Business Development during his last 5 years, significantly increasing its client base, resulting in a 300% increase in annual revenues. Mr. Levato also led the due diligence and integration efforts of a successful 2015 growth through acquisition strategy.

Mr. Levato is currently a managing member at Pycnocline, LLC, a consulting firm and private merchant bank serving as the Private Equity acquisition arm of its London affiliate Halocline Private.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Levato spent 5 years serving as Global Chief Financial Officer at Citi Hedge Fund and Private Equity Fund Services (formerly BISYS Alternative Investment Services), with financial responsibility for North America, Europe, Asia, and Caribbean operations. At the time, BISYS maintained $350 Billion in AUA, and Mr. Levato also served as a member of the BISYS Executive Management Committee.

Before joining BISYS in 2005, Joseph was Vice President of Planning & Analysis at Marsh McLennan. Here he specialized in strategic planning and analysis for the Marsh Insurance Brokerage business. Joseph also spent 10 years with Revlon Cosmetics as Vice President and Group Controller.

Joseph Levato graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in 1988 with B.S. degrees in Accounting and Finance, and received his MBA in Corporate Finance from Fordham University in 1996. We are fortunate to lean on Mr. Levato’s experience and process oriented approach to fund and business administration as we serve our clients globally with a suite of products and services that truly set us apart from other administrators.

Anthony D. Mascia

Managing Partner

Anthony Mascia is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of EFSI, a New York-based leading private fund administration provider.

 Anthony oversees and leads EFSI’s front office, which includes account management, business development, customer service, marketing and sales. Since its inception in 2017, EFSI has grown to $10bn in assets under administration (AUA) and works with hedge fund, private credit, private equity, real estate and venture capital fund managers to support their middle and back-office administration needs. Anthony also leads EFSI’s family office division, which provides administration services, deal origination and networking services to single and multi-family offices across the United States.

 He began his professional career in 1999 as a trader and member of the New York Board of Trade. After leaving the floor in 2008, Anthony went on to build a guaranteed independent brokerage firm focused on investing in alternative strategies through an affiliation with MF Global until 2011, and he is a Principal & Partner of a New York-based commodity trading advisor, providing consulting services and assistance with discretionary investment and marketing strategies.

 He resides in Westchester County, New York, with his wife and children, where he is an avid winemaker and musician. He is a graduate from Fordham University, Fordham College at Rose Hill.

Michael J. Krieger

VP of Operations

Prior to joining Essential Fund Services International, LLC as Vice President of Operations, Michael spent 3 years with Advanced Fund Administration where he served as Fund Accounting Manager responsible for overseeing the portfolio accounting and fund administration for 40+ hedge fund and private equity fund clients, as well as supervise the annual fund audits to ensure compliance with GAAP reporting. Michael and his team provided full service administration solutions to a variety of fund structures, ensuring accurate, timely reporting to their clients. Prior to joining AFA, Michael spent 3 years with Bessemer Trust as a Senior Fund Accountant, where he maintained the books and records for 15 onshore and offshore hedge fund-of-funds.

Before joining Bessemer Trust in 2012, Michael spent 5 years as a Fund Accountant with J.P. Morgan Private Equity Fund Services and Citi Hedge Fund Services. Michael has gained great exposure to many alternative asset vehicle structures during his time in the industry.

Michael graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2008 with a B.S. degree in Finance.

Sandy C. Pereira

VP of Investor Services

Prior to joining Essential Fund Services International, LLC, Mrs. Pereira spent 3 years with Advanced Fund Administration where she served as an Investor Services Representative, responsible for handling and completing the daily tasks received directly from clients and or investors. These tasks included the processing and reviewing of all transactions, opening of bank accounts, reconciling bank accounts, completing all wires, and complying with Anti-Money Laundering rules and regulations. Mrs. Pereira also, ensured that NAV Statements reconciled before releasing them to clients and investors.

Prior to joining AFA, Mrs. Pereira spent 5 years with Citibank where she served as an Investor Services Representative and promoted to Senior Investor Services Representative, with the responsibility of overseeing the daily workflow and activity of her team members. This included the review of all checklists in place for all transactions, review of correct implementation of Anti-Money Laundering rules, and training staff members of new system roll outs.

Mrs. Pereira graduated from Kean University, Union, New Jersey in 2006 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Finance.

Adrianne Zennario

Sr. Fund Accountant

Prior to joining Essential Fund Services International, LLC, Adrianne spent 16 years working for State Street Corporation in various fund accounting roles. She was responsible for the daily NAV preparations across numerous mutual funds prior to moving to Alternative Investments in 2015 where she worked on numerous hedge and private equity funds. Adrianne spent 2 years of her career at State Street migrating 200+ funds onto a new accounting platform and worked on parallel testing and transitioning as well as training.

Before joining State Street in 2001 Adrianne worked for Merrill Lynch in the trade support group.

Adrianne graduated from Caldwell University in 1999 with a B.S. degree in Accounting and later received an MBA with a concentration in Accounting in 2005 from Caldwell University.
